  Simonetta Carbonaro –Partner, REAL_ISE Business Consultants
Simonetta is an expert in consumer psychology, strategic marketing and design management. Her research is in the area of consumer behavior, forecasting the directions consumer culture moves by analyzing broad socio-cultural patterns. She is Professor of Humanistic Marketing and Design Management at the Swedish Textile School, University of Borås in Sweden, and is a member of the Domus Academy Research Centre in Milan. Simonetta has worked as a consultant for more than twenty years on innovative branding strategies. She is currently a partner at REAL_ISE, the business consultants firm based in Germany, where she is actively involved in Value Branding and Innovation Management.

  Nick Chiarelli –Director, Consumer Trends, GfK Roper Consulting
Nick specializes in global consumer trends, helping clients turn trend insights into business opportunities and competitive advantage. With experience covering both quantitative and qualitative techniques across many markets gained over 20 years in the industry, he has developed a suite of products, TrendKEY, that are designed to be used in workshops with clients to develop new products, review and reposition brands, and to develop global, regional and local marketing communications strategies. Nick is a graduate of Bristol University with a BSc (Hons) in Biology and Ecology, and holds the MRS Diploma for which he won the Gallup Award for best overall performance in the 1989 examinations.

Co-founder of Volans Ventures and SustainAbility, Mr. Elkington is widely considered the authority on sustainable development and has been a leading thinker in the field for more than twenty years. He has written or co-written 17 books on the subject, and continues to advise some of the world’s largest companies. Directly linked to this work, John’s latest book is on entrepreneurial solutions—particularly on the work of leading social and environmental entrepreneurs. He will offer an innovative perspective on the growing organic fiber movement and the critical role of those people who push the limits of what is considered “reasonable” for businesses.

Dr Kate Fletcher has been exploring fashion as a positive force for change towards sustainability for the last fifteen years. She developed the concept of slow fashion and has championed innovative approaches to developing sustainable fashion products and services with clients including high street retailers, designer-makers and nonprofit organizations. Kate finished a PhD in 1999 at Chelsea College of Art and Design, investigating sustainable design opportunities in the UK Textile Industry, before working as a post-doc researcher and spending four years as a lecturer in EcoDesign at Goldsmiths College, University of London. She is the author of the widely acclaimed, Sustainable Fashion and Textiles: Design Journeys.
