Two new certification companies licensed to the OE Standards
Organic Exchange is pleased to announce that Ecocert and OneCert are now licensed to certify against the OE 100 and OE Blended standards, joining current certifiers Control Union, EKTO and IMO. If you are interested in certifying your company to the OE Standards or want to adopt the standards, please visit: www.organicexchange.org for more information.

Ecocert is an organic inspection and certification body approved and recognized in 86 countries. Founded in 1991 and based in France, with offices around the world, the company is accredited for NOP and JAS certifications, as well as being approved in the EU.

In addition to certifying against a wide range of standards, Ecocert has established a number of its own standards. For textiles they certify to GOTS and OE 100 and OE Blended, as well as the Fair Trade standard that they have developed.

Ecocert also provides professional training courses on regulations, auditing techniques, traceability, food safety and management systems (environment, quality).

Since its creation, Ecocert has acquired expertise and know-how which have enabled it to broaden the scope of its activities to:

  • Organic farming and inputs
  • Cosmetics, Natural cleaning products, home perfumes, and textiles
  • Fair-trade
  • Eco-friendly green spaces
  • Food safety and quality
  • Corporate management systems
For more information about textile certification with Ecocert, visit www.ecocert.com or contact Vincent Duret (textile@ecocert.com).

OneCert Inc. is an internationally recognized organic certification body and this new accreditation broadens the company’s involvement in the organic textile industry. OneCert is also one of the few accredited certification bodies for the Global Organic Textiles Standards (GOTS).

OneCert feels the OE Standards will allow them to offer their clients a broader selection of services to meet their needs. “Organic Exchange certification is very valuable tool for the organic textile industry, both as a step towards GOTS certification and independently as a system for fiber verification,” says Karlin Warner, the OneCert textile certification specialist. “We are proud to be a part of their mission to expand organic fiber agriculture.”

OneCert certifies internationally with representatives and inspectors in a growing number of countries. OneCert is the only US Certification Agency that has a branch office in India. OneCert Asia is located in Jaipur providing certification throughout India and other parts of Asia.

For more information about textile certification with OneCert, visit www.onecert.com or contact Karlin Warner karlin@onecert.com or (402) 420-6080.
