TexWorld USA, July 14-16 in New York City
Organic Exchange will be attending Texworld USA July 14-16 at the Javits Convention Center. Here we can build on our mission to educate textile leaders and expand organic agriculture. This event is known as the essential sourcing event in North America for apparel fabric buyers, R&D and Product Development Specialists, designers, merchandisers and overseas sourcing professionals. Mills and manufacturers from Asia and around the world will be showcasing their collections for women´s, men´s and children´s.
LaRhea Pepper, OE Senior Director, will be speaking July 15 at 1:00 p.m. and discussing, "Green 2.0: The Future of Organic and Sustainable Fibers." Here we will explore what has been happening in the organic cotton market, where it is headed, and more. OE has partnered with Helvetas to co-host the “From Fashion to Sustainability“ congress in Interlaken this September. The congress brings partners of the whole organic cotton community together and is an excellent place to actively share knowledge and network at every possible level. For European OE Members unable to attend the OE Sustainable Textiles Confernece in Seattle, this venue will serve as an excellent educational meeting and gathering for members.

On September 21, from 16:30 -18:00 OE Members are invited to join the “The OE Member Update“ meeting; this is an opportunity to share ideas and network with other members. This meeting will include an overview of the farm development program, accomplishments of the past year for OE, and goals moving forward in 2010. Registration for the entire congress is open now, a 10% discount is available if registering before July 15.
