Introduction
Organic cotton is a tool that allows greater visibility as well as concrete solutions for key issues that are impacting rural communities around the world: poverty, food security, and the need for greater bio-diversity. Organic cotton systems not only address environmental issues that are directly impacting our climate but also create value chains that enable businesses and their partners to produce and deliver products and services that meet basic human needs in a sustainable way.

Farmer Visibility Map: Organic Cotton Farms
The Farmer Visibility Map gives organic fiber producers an unprecedented level of visibility and voice in the marketplace. Here, you are directly linked with organic cotton farmers on every arable continent and can easily locate the fiber quality you need in the country or region you need it. Not only will you be able to locate and contact the farming project via the map, but you will also be able to see detailed farming information including certification as well as learn how the farmers are dealing with environmental, social, and economic challenges they are faced with. A help document is available for download to assist in navigating the map more efficiently.

  Farmer Toolkit
The OE Farmer Toolkit is a compilation of best practices - scientific research and farmers’ experiences. The current components include:  Certification and Internal Control Systems, Growing Calendars by Region, Soil Management, Agroecosystem Management, Intercrops and Crop Rotation, Crop Nutrition, Pest and Disease Management, Harvest and Quality Control, Guide for Responsible Production and Trade, and Business and Finance for Farmers.
